Snowing a little harder here in Louisville, too, now that I posted my prediction of a fizzle!

I'm not impressed until I can't see my street. At this point, I still can.

Just got a robocall saying that school MAY be closed tomorrow? WTF? Not saying it will be, just that it might.

Strange, but perhaps they're just trying to give parents of young children a heads up, so they can start thinking about childcare. May I ask what district?

From Jeffco:

All after school activities canceled Feb. 1, including BoE forum. School closings for Feb. 2 yet to be determined. Updates provided as needed.

Denver. My son is at a DSST school - they follow DPS closings, but I'm not sure if all of DPS got the calls or not.

Not as much as I expected given the news coverage but still significant. There's probably a foot or so piled up on the picnic table in back. School's canceled. We'll be out there shoveling for awhile this morning. Got the home-made syrup for hot cocoa ready to go. Made it yesterday, so we're all set.

Ol' Mike Nelson was wrong. He was the one saying the system's energy was too spread out and was thinking about lowering his snow totals. We've got about a foot on Smoky Hill Ridge and it's still coming down.

I think we got about a foot down in Castle Rock. I ended up driving into work. The highways weren't too bad, but the side roads had a good amount of snow on them due to less travel. Enjoy the snow day kiddos!!! Get outside and have some fun.
