San Francisco/Portland could be characterized as Hipster/hippie.
LA is more fame/fashion oriented.
NYC more money/fashion.

I saw this article: https://www.westword.com/news/photos...rhoods-6667072

Is Denver very Bro/Frat oriented?

I've always imagined Denver to be more like rock climbing/snow boarders.

Stereotyping a city is not good. Why don't you visit Denver and see for yourself. Cities are diverse places to live and have diverse population, activites, and cultures. Why don't you get off of your computer and live your life. You can choose to live your life and/or live your things and thoughts. Good luck

20 years ago I would have described Denver as an outdoor, active town, but I think that is changing.
When I meet people who move here now, they don’t move here to ski or mountain bike, they seem to move here because like Austin or Seattle at one time, we are now looked at as a “cool” place to live. Being first to legalize pot just added to that appeal.
So I am not sure how you would describe the city.

Left of center.
Sometimes way left.

On the other hand.
Low property taxes and government that works.

Denver is all those things and more.

If you want advice, tell us what you're looking for, what appeals to you, what do you need of a city?

I just want to avoid place where there are a lot of bros..frat boys etc.
Also depends on how "bro-ey" they are. Like little bit is okay, but like total New England frat boy style isn't really my thing.

There are 3 million people (I think) in the Denver metro area. Lots of diversity!

Being from the east coast, I will say not bro oriented.

I'd go out in philly, and everyone looked like macklemoore. It was creepy almost.

There are bros, but they are skiier bros, and climber bros, who love sending the gnar.

There are also many other types, like bluegrass pickers, and science nerds, yes there are economy bros too.

Agree. I spend enough time in the east coast to say there is definitely not a Jersey Shore vibe here.
