Will be living in Detroit for the next 3-6 months. I will work at the Renassaince Center in downtown Detroit. What are the safe areas nearby to rent a moderately priced apartment? Old is ok but I need it in an area that is safe.

Thanks for all the help.

Millender Center

This apartment complex is right across the street from the Rennaisance Center. This location is very safe. 1 Bdrms start around $900/month. Would you consider this moderate?

You need a really big gun if you are going to bag an apartment. Maybe a cannon.

To be fair, I'm not sure how nice of an apartment you are going to get down there for that length of time. I'd be willing to bet most places have 12-month leases.

Default Thanks

I guess my best bet would be to search the "roomamtes wanted" section of Craigslist. 3-6 months duration has now become 1 month and am willing to tough it out for a month. Craigslist has some ads and I may just start calling. Thanks for all your help. You have been a wonderful help.
