Wonder if the study took into account that the people tested that ate 3 eggs a day, "also ate 3 donuts with it?"

Anyone have info/update on this? I'd like a med professional, if possible, to validate or say if this is a flawed study.

I've since stopped eggs (I ate a daily hard boiled one) & even though I don't have diabetes, my dad (who is over 70 yrs old) does thus, I worry about diabetes too in the future. Thanks.

UPDATE: Same doctor did June 2010 published study in Amer. Jour. of Clin. Nutrition saying, "if eggs are LIMITED (one or so per wk)then they're ok". But.. I would urge caution myself to all, as you can NEVER remove an egg if they are found to cause Type 2 but you can always ADD eggs, if found to later be ok. What you think?
I was diagnosed a type 2 diabetic in May of 2009. I eat eggs about three times a week, 3 each day. It has not affected my cholesterol, nor has it spiked my A1C level.

I eat hardboiled eggs but I only eat the egg whites. So many food items seem to spike my blood sugar, that the eggs seem like a safe food for me to eat. I'll stick with them in moderation as I have been doing. At times it seems like one cannot eat anything with Diabetes.

Oat are bad for you! Oh, wait, they lower cholesterol - oats are good for you!
Coffee is bad for you - oh, wait, it increases liver and kidney function - Coffee is good for you!
Wine is bad for you because of all the tannins - oh, wait, wine lowers cholesterol and strengthens the heart - drink wine!

Bluntly, food scientists are full of crap. They postulate theories to get a grant, then they develop only those research lines that prove their theories so they can publish their 'findings' at taxpayer expense. Like the old 'saccarin is poison!' - if you feed some poor rat 2 cups of saccarin a day, you'd better believe he's going to develop problems! If you ate the same titrated-by-body-weight quantity every day, so would you.

Eat wholesome foods, exercise every single day, don't be sedentary or stressed, get out and go and see and feel and do, make friends with people who matter to you, and you'll live a long and healthy life. Sit on your wazoo and be miserable, eat overprocessed and junk food, and you'll die earlier - and everyone else will be glad you did, because you were making them miserable too.

As I type this, my 80-year-old neighbor is walking briskly by, getting ready for his 10-hour day working cattle on his son's ranch. What a fun and interesting neighbor! He buys our eggs, a dozen every week, and loves our homemade bread and jelly donuts...

People who are not doctors yet they post in threads like they know all about diabetes are a dangerous joke and should be ignored.
