Are food comas always the symptom of pre diabetes or diabetes?

I have had this problem and it is very annoying. Telling someone to just "go with" the post-meal
sleepiness/grogginess, wow, not helpful at all.
Eat a meal that is above a certain level of carbs, you can basically consider my on groggy-street for quite a while. With me, no two ways about it, it is the level of carbs I eat in a meal that does it.
This condition may be common, but is it actually normal.......probably as normal as having TTDM.
Insulin resistance absolutely can exist in those who test in the pre-diabetic A1c levels. It's along a continuum, with 6.5 and over considered "full T2D" and 5.8 - 6.4 "pre-diabetes". An A1c of 5.7 and under is normal / not testing as diabetic.
