I'm overweight but not obese but I don't think it's as healthy for me as when I'll be in a normal weight range for my height a couple of months from now. I'm shooting for a max BMI of 24.9.

My question is..why is their no mention of being healthy yet overweight or even obese?it is possible but I never hear anything about it. Why?
With all due respect to you, you're the one at fault here. If you don't want to try and lose weight, to "conform to society's standards" as you put it, then don't.

No one is forcing you to do anything.

Good luck, whatever path you choose.
