It is for me. Every morning I make two eggs scrambled or fried with bacon or ham and sauteed vegetables. Black coffee to drink. I'm never hungry until lunch time.

Well it means...break the fast. It starts your body working again with some energy to feel your brain and organs. I start with a small oatmeal with walnuts and blueberries.

Following the Paleo diet, you would not eat breakfast. There are a million schools of thought out there regarding food. My philosophy is to follow as closely as possible what you would do in nature, if you were not civilized. Since, we did not evolve with refrigeration, and fire arrived relatively late on the scene, it would stand to reason that you would not eat anything that was not fresh (or freshly killed). Therefore, the notion of eating *something* after waking in the morning does not make a lot of sense IMHO. Since it would be left to "sit out" all night and be exposed to bugs and other vermine. Since, for it to be "fresh" you would either have to pick it or kill it relatively soon before eating.

I've never been a breakfast eater.

It's optional at best, the importance of breakfast the last however many years has been overstated. It is probably more important if you exercise in the morning. I've eaten a Zone-ish type breakfast for at least a decade, may be taking a break from it for a while.

My breakfast - Wake up, have cup of black coffee. Go workout (almost always cardio in AM) - 3-5 mile run, jump rope, tabata, speed bag/heavy bag workout, sprints or other cardio. Then I'll have a banana and protein shake. That is what works for me.

I'll eat something usually around 10:00 after my early "breakfast".

If I skip doing this or if I eat a big breakfast, I just dont feel as sharp and/or bada$$ as I normally do.

The Paleo diet sounds pretty interesting. I am looking more and more into that. Another month or so of doing my research and due diligence into that diet and maybe I'll try it. Normally, my modis operandi is HEALTHY NUTRITION. Just eat right and all will be well. But, maybe just once I'll deviate from this and try Paleo. Again, after a month or so more of D.D.
