Obese people's problem is ORGANIC and extremely complex.

This is the scientific consensus from the world TOP obesity scientistsL: Dr Jeffrey Friedman Dr Douglas Coleman Dr Micheal Rosenbaum and Dr. Leibel. All of these men performed some of the VERY BEST and most thorough research to date.

. Obesity is as heritable as height. The genetic component is gretaer than ANY medical condition studied with ONLY height POSSIBLY suprassing it by a SMIDGEN.

"Eat less, move more" is a BELIEF tested by science and it FAILED BIG TIME. DO SOME RESEARCH YOU UNEDUCATED PEOPLE.

Naturally thin people are that way due to BIOLOGY. They are not all "eating less and exercsing more" NOR are they paragons of virture.

Obesity is full of POLITICS, MISINFORMATION AND STIGMA

My answer to this is - SUGAR!! Everyone I have ever known who is/was fat/obese had a problem with sugar. They just couldnt stay away from it. Cokes, candies, sweets, smoothies, sugar in coffee, ice cream, sugar in oatmeal, sugar in tea, overdoing it on the fruits, even breads (body treats it as sugar). Control your intake of sugar and you WILL see results. Better yet, make every effort you can to eliminate sugar from your diet and you WILL see results.

People lose their friggin' minds over sugar. The fat people (almost always women) in the office get ridiculously excited over doughnuts and such that its almost comical. I swear, its like they get more excited over doughnuts or pizza being available than if a super well hung Daniel Craig or Brad Pitt walked naked into their rooms.

Second answer, FATTY foods - McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, salads with heavy dressing, fried anything, etc. Cut these food completely out of your diet and you should see results.

Sure other things contribute to obesity and/or hinders weight loss like high sodium foods and eating too many calories, but for the most part, if people could eliminate or cut waaaaaaaay back on their sugar and fatty food intake they WILL get healthy. They WILL lose weight. Providing that they are also exercising regularly.

I mean really people. Why is it so so difficult to cut out sugar and fatty foods from your diet?

Because SCIENCE ( real science from Dr. Jeffrey Friedman, Dr. Leibel) has shown that ancient, belief based silly nostrum to be : outdated, unreliable, ineffective advice that DOES NOT WORK to solve obesity.

Many obese people do it and do NOT lose weight. The BODY governs eneregy balance, NOT US.
So HOW would YOU explain how all the OBESE people that LOST WEIGHT by eating LESS and MOVING MORE did it?

The BODY'S energy management is A DIRECT RESULT of how much ENERGY is CONSUMED and EXPENDED in the form of EXERCISE.

The CLAIM that CONSUMPTION and EXPULSION has no affect on RETENTION/STORAGE is positively absurd.

Look up Dr. EVERYONE ON THE PLANET and see what THEY have experienced then make an INFORMED judgment about whether physics is A buNCH of crap. EDUCATE yourself.

It's more than time for ALL of you uneducated Internet idiots to learn:

Jeffery M. Friedman at Nobel Conference 46 - YouTube

"Eat less, move more" is NOT a scientific approach to obesity AT ALL- AT ALL.

They DID NOT LOSE. That is the problem. No effective treatment exists for obesity LONG TERM. EVEN BARIATRIC PATIENTS REMAIN OBESE, YOU FOOL. THE AVERAGE BMI after surgery is STILL 32 after eating ONLY 800 calories or so

EXPLAIN THAT. OBESITY IS COMPLEX. EDUCATE YOURSELF.

I cannot match this!

I will just add, "Why do anorectics lose enough weight to kill themselves?" Not eating and over exercising apparently has nothing to do with it, according to Rick.

Thermodynamics does NOT EXPLAIN OBESITY. Obese people ( the lucky ones) who lose are STILL VERY FAT. They lost MUSCLE MASS. Furthermore it almost always is SHORT TERM.

ONLY 1 % OR LESS of obese poeple will lose weight LONG TERM 10 YEARS 15 YEARS AND MORE. And they STILL NEVER BECOME TRULY LEAN.

Overfeeding studie shave been done you idiots. "Why Thin Poeple Are Not Fat" into YouTube Asian kid ate 5,000 EXTRA caloies a day GAINED MUSCLE AND LOOKED GREAT at the end of the study

And not everybody fattens. There is massive variation.

OVEREATING IS NOT THE CAUSE OF OBESITY, YOU IDIOTS. The body RETURNS you to normal .

THIN PEOPLE ARE THAT WAY DUE TO BIOLOGY.

OBESITY IS NOT a simple condition of eatin gtoo much. EDUCATE YOURSELVES.

OBESITY IS THE ACTIVE AND VORACIOUS DEFENSE OF A HEIGHTENED FAT MASS LEVEL. FAT IS A GENUINE ENDOCRINE ORGAN.

Jeffrey Friedman on factors affecting obesity - YouTube

DROP your fat stigma and prejudices. LEARN from obne of the best , if not the best obesity scientist on the planet: Dr. Jeffrey Friedman the man who discovered LEPTIN. He speaks internationally.

I T IS YOU PEOPLE WHO ARE GROSSLY MISINFORMED, NOT I.

THE UNKNOWNS ABOUT OBESITY COULD FILL THE ATLANTIC OCEAN. THE KNOWN WOULD ONLY FILL YOUR CUP.

Obesity is a BIOLOGICAL PROBLEM. A B-I-O-L-O-G-I-C-A-L PROBLEM.

It's NOT a physics problem, you idiots. The GREAT PHYSICIST Richard Feynman woukld NEVER make obesity a physics problem because he was an actual physicist and knew better.

NO REPSECTABLE physicist would deny obesity is a BIOLOGICAL MATTER COMPLETELY.

RICHARD FEYNMAN , A MAN WHO KNEW SCIENCE, EXPLAINS UNCERTAINTY

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MmpUWEW6Is

"EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLY WRONG, LET US SEE."

THAT IS THE CORRECT SCENTIFIC ATTITUDE, YOU IDIOTS.

EXTREME UNCERTAINTY EXISTS IN OBSITY RESEARCH AND BODY WEIGHT REGULATION SCIENCE. IT IS POORLY UNDERSTOOD. OBESITY HAS MANY, MANY, MANY CAUSES.

The unsupported BELEIF to "eat less and move more " does NOT come from SCIENCE. The EVIDENCEcontradicts it strongly and repeatedly in the very best quality and thorough scientific studies carried out by the obesity scientists i have mentioned. Dr. Leibel ran it back and forth 6 different times in his own words.

SCIENCE strongly suggests that when it comes to your weight the body HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN.

The stigmatization of the obese CANNOT be defended by what the SCIENCE currently shows us about obesity.
