Demonizing food groups has gone on forever and will continue to do so. Pseudo nutritionists will come out with a book with some new trend and people will WANT to believe it. The magic potion so to speak for losing weight the easy way.
That said some people do have issues with certain foods, but really for the most part its calories in vs calories out. Its not glamorous, or new, or trendy and its HARD. But its what it ALL boils down to.
I'm with you. I hate the "low carb" suggestions or low carb diets specifically. Yea, you can lose a lot of weight cutting those out. But it's not realistic because who can live their entire life on low to no carbs? Who can go through life never eating bread again? I don't know anybody that can, I see lots trying and failing though. I lost nearly 60 lbs on watching calories and exercise back in 2006 and have kept it off. Meanwhile I know more people than I have fingers who drop 20-40 lbs on low carb diets, only to put it back on in a matter of months. particularly one who I've watched yo-yo for 13 years. It's insane how fast they put it back on. Yet they still argue about how its' the way to go. Living a life cutting out almost an entire food group is just absurd. Yea, you can lose weight, but the point of losing weight is to keep it off.

Its very difficult to leave your favourite food for the sake of weight loss but on the other side of the coin it is good to do that if you want a healthy and prolong life and want to keep yourself away from dangerous diseases! dont stop eating anything but try to reduce the amount of it gradually. eat it on lunch time so that you'll have the whole day long to burn these calories. Leg raising exercise has worked for me (with other daily execises)! give it a try.
