Coffee is usually fine, black only. At least for fasting. If your goal is just to lower your calorie consumption, then you are fine.

I'm not a coffee drinker so it was not something I ever paid attention to. That said, there had been a lot of discussion over it. You should check out Dr. Eric Berg on youtube, he has several videos on what constitutes a breaking of the fast and what is ok to consume and still be in a fasted state. I cant remember exactly but I think the coffee with the cream would be breaking the fast...I know some people do the bullet coffee, some do MCT oil as well but again since I dont drink it I didnt pay attention. But yeah check online

I’ll look into it. I’ll also see if I can wean myself off of the creamer. Go down to 1 tablespoon and then half a tablespoon and then who knows maybe I’ll be drinking black coffee.

While reduced calorie intake is my goal for now I would also like to get the added benefit of the increased growth hormone and fat burning hormones that you only really get during the fast.

I fast daily without worrying about the creamer because just like the Bullet Proof coffee, you have to use the highest fat content creamer without any sugar. Any milk that has carbs are not suitable for fasting. You can use coconut, heavy cream, butter.

No soy, whole or low fast milk. Low fat or skim milk will break fasting because of the high sugar content. Yet all the ignorant folks thinks drinking skim is helpful.

Unsweetened soy has no sugar.

Down 17 pounds in 33 days now. When I started this diet and exercise program my ambitious goal was to drop half a pound a day. So far I’m keeping up with that. Started at 196 pounds and now down to 179.

Went on a hour long bike ride in the 104° heat yesterday afternoon. Felt fine afterwards.

Feel like I’m eating in In two days what I used to eat in one day. And the best part is it doesn’t feel like I’m starving myself or sacrificing anything. It’s been simple.

I've just read a bunch of keto and anti-keto nutrition books (vegetarian/vegan).

What I found is both schools of nutrition emphasize eating no or very few factory-created foods.

Both ways of eating cut out white carbs made from de-natured white flour, no sugar-y drinks such as sodas, sports drinks, fruit juices.

And both eliminate ALL the junk foods found in the chips/snack aisles of our grocery stores.

So, if we eat whole foods, whether vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan or animal proteins, we'll be healthier and fitter and possibly thinner if we cut out the "crap"--low nutrient foods that deliver little nutrition but high calories.

How many of us fall prey to fast foods, bread, bagels, biscuits, pie, cakes, pasta, ice cream, sodas, chips, crackers, pizza, French Fries, etc.??

Eating whole foods really helps our health and our body size.
