I started taking GOLO on January 2nd of this year. The first few weeks went great, and I could tell I was losing weight and my jeans and belt were loose. On the fourth week I developed what I thought was a bad allergy and sinus infection. After a week of taking several different types of allergy meds and no change in my symptoms, I started to wonder if it was the GOLO I was having a reaction to.
So, I quit taking the GOLO and the very next day my allergy symptoms started to lessen. By the second day the symptoms were all gone. But since I had three full bottles of GOLO left and I wasn’t 100% positive it was the GOLO that was causing my allergy, I started back on the pills. Again, in one day the allergy symptoms were back and I started having extreme pain on my left side just under my ribs.
I have stopped taking GOLO and my allergies have gone away and the pain in my side has gotten better.
I thoroughly researched the listed ingredients in GOLO and read through all the online comments and reviews and I could not find ingredient that could have cause this change or anyone else with similar side effects.
I just thought I should share my experience with others in case someone else has had problems like mine.
Golo (makes me laugh) is made with seven "ingredients" only one of which is a purified chemical. The other six are "extracts" of plants, meaning they just just grind them up whole and dissolve them in a solvent...That means you're getting all 20,000 or so biochemicals in each of those plants.
You're probably allergic to at least one of those plants but never were exposed thst much in the past to realize it.

Only solvent-extracted ingredients are extracted with solvents. Citrus oil is extracted usually by putting the fruit peels in a centrifuge and spinning the oil out. Others are steam-extracted.
