Breeding and not walking the dogs, no fence. Really sad. Are they at least inside?

She has various methods of some going out on ropes or systems of watching, but, they escape at times. It is always so tense at her house because I don't know her current system of entering the house and so I end up violating the rules and getting yelled at which is yet another reason I have ended contact with my darling SIL. I try to talk to my husband about his sister, but, he just pretends it doesn't exist. Seems to be the way his family always deals with issues. I'm thinking that by having a large animal population is a sort of addiction as she seems to have a food addiction as well. She also had her son cut of contact with her because of the way she verbally abused his wife plus her ex husband left her because of many many issues. Needless to say this is a very complicated subject. I am wondering why she doesn't at least adopt dogs instead of breeding all these dogs I suggested she rescue Pit Bulls thinking this was a breed that could use her help and she went off on me claiming that they are viscious and dangerous, however, she owns three GSD and has had Rottweilers and Dobermans

When you say I have issues with my SIL - sounds like you should. She sounds pretty irresponsible. Participating in Family and the right to live by your beliefs can be a fine line. I usually fall over pretty far on the I have a right to my beliefs line.
So for what its worth I think you have a right to tell your SIL what you think of her irresponsibility and to not deal with her any more.
If you are hanging in there hoping to impact the situation and try to keep her from breeding I certainly think that's commendable, though I think you need to get on a different board for tips on how to deal with psych or borderline personality issues.
Good luck.

Is she paying taxes on the money off the puppies? If not, she's a tax evader. Turn her in.

How to report tax fraud to the IRS - Mar. 2, 2010

An article (above) from this past March. IRS pays people that turn in tax cheats. Fill out your form here and send it in. Maybe losing more than she was able to make off pimping out her dogs will make her think twice about doing it again. Let them know about the under the table dog sitting too.

Exactly. She sounds like she has far too many dogs and too many problems. Nothing infuriates me more than people who breed indiscriminately because they want to make a few bucks. I am also guessing that she is selling these as purebred dogs at a discounted price to others, who will then follow her mantra and start their own "breeding programs". No small wonder the SPCA, humane societies, and pet rescues are all full of unwanted dogs and puppies.

Does anybody have any links or anything that points out why people should adopt animals rather than breeding them? If she thinks she needs more animals I don't see why she wouldn't adopt them rather than breeding her own all the time. Just because she has a female dog doesn't mean she has to breed it. I think anything I wrote wouldn't work since I could pretty much tell her that we are on planet earth and she would disagree with me She is a very bosy bossy women that likes to think of herself as Rambo

I have to wonder about the people who leave their dogs at "doggie daycare" where there is no fenced outside area too!

Sounds like it is an area where two legged breeding has not created optimal specimen's either!
