OMG, maybe that's the trick! Maybe I have to say "arf" (for "you should be quiet!") instead of my usual "IT'S JUST THE MAIL! LIKE EVERY OTHER DAY!" or "It's OK, little man, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER DAY!" or "I think he's bringing us presents, JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER DAY!' or "Oh, please, it's ENOUGH already, LIKE EVERY OTHER DAY!"
LOL, I don't know if that's gonna work! I was really surprised how barky Ruthie was when she first came home. She hadn't been that way at all at the shelter. I'd tried teaching speak and no speak to dogs before and "speak" seemed like one of the harder things to teach. Not with Ruthie! I looked at her and said, "Speak! Woof!" ONE TIME and she gave me a surprised look and said "Arf!" (That tells you something right there!) So she does know no speak , but I helped her by distracting her with a toy at first, so now I think she does it on purpose sometimes so I'll play.

Oh, you were definitely right the first time with the "you'd BETTER leave." My sweet thought bubble is just wishful thinking. Artie is a quite the monster.
My 3 just sat straight up and looked at my DROID like they couldn't believe I had snuck a dog in! Glared at it and me until I turned it off. Too funny!

Right??? That's my favorite part too. Except that I hear it every day, so it's gotten a bit stale. Did I mention that that's his routine EVERY SINGLE DAY? Yeah, I thought so. It happens TWICE per day if UPS comes too. It's lovely.
