I think your trainer has the wrong approach to this problem, and their advice will probably make the situation worse.

my sister had a dog like this , she was taking it to a trainer and one day the other small dog got a hold of the biting one and that dog never bit anyone again . In other words the other dog trained him not to bite . Im not suggesting that is the way to go but I do suggest another trainer this one is not working for this dog . in the animal world I do think animals teach each other how to act around certain animals .

phonelady is absolutely right on this one. Dogs DO train each other - and often do so faster than human/dog training. The problem is having a dog you trust to do the training correctly!
