My dog is a cross-breed one and he's about 10 years now. In his young age, he had noram ears and both were same. But recently I noticed that one ear has bent down and when I try to erect it, he screams painfully. Does anybody know if this a symptom of severe health condition or regular thing due to ageing?

Take him to the vet!!!

Screaming in pain when you touch his ear is not normal, especially if it is now in a different position.

He may have damaged the cartilage in his ear and it is very painful. Another possibility is that he has an ear infection.

It isn't normal. Get to a vet.

Dogs can get hematomas in their ear leather. It happens when they hit the ear on something and then blood fills a pocket in the ear leather. It is extremely painful and, if that's what your dog has, a veterinarian will have to drain it.

As others have said, it could also be an infection or some other kind of damage. Poor dog. Please take him to the vet and let us know what the vet says.

My best guess is that the dog has a foxtail in his ear. The vet has the special tool to each way down into the ear to take it out.

That, plus any other ear problem I can think of, is a take-it-to-the-vet problem.
