Austrailian Shepherd or Border Collie for me. They just are so smart! But I also love mutts too.

Jack Russell Terriers (or all Terriers for that matter), we have two, and they have two different personalities. One is your typical jack, full of energy, very smart, and loves to speak (bark almost like a conversation). Then the other could spend all day on the sofa if he could. He doesn't like the heat and humidity in Florida so I have to push him outside. And he doesn't like his feet getting wet in from the morning dew (yet if it rains later in the day thats ok). One great thing about them is you don't have to go to the groomers.

Rough Collies, Siberian Huskey, most of the "northern" double coated breeds.
But my very favorite is rough Collie mixed with whatever the other half of my dog is (believed to be Finnish Spitz, but not sure).

I've been asked so many times who his breeder is, because people think he's some exotic breed or something and they want one, LOL!

Anybody heard of Anatolian Shepherds? I've never had one but I really want one later when I have a nice big yard for it!

Bloodhounds are #1 to me and yes like the mutts also.

Any dog over knee high is a good one.

Miniature Pinschers are my absolute favorite breed. Looking forward to adding a few more to our family in the future.

After Miniature Pinschers, all dogs are my favorites. Mutts or purebreds, large or small, shorthaired or fluffy...they are all wonderful.

Love 'em all...right now there's 5 Rottweilers, a muttsky and a newly-acquired-because-my-sister-is-an-idiot Shih Tzu in my life. Love the strong, large breeds like the Rotties...love the carefree ways of the terrier mutt...and the Shih Tzu is a new thing, but so far he appears to be fabulous for sweeping the floor! Incidentally, all dogs are getting along beautifully. We had an initial 10 minutes of total chaos while we did intros, then the Shih Tzu slipped under the baby gate while I was lifting it and woo-hoo!!!! Off to the races! 15 minutes of butt sniffing ensued, a quick trip to the potty outside to do a little marking, and everyone collapsed in a happy heap. Not how I had it planned, but it worked anyway. Gotta love the Rotties, they'd let the devil himself in if I acted like it was okay...so we have the wee, the medium and the large, all living in harmony. God bless 'em all, and God bless me...I'm now the mom of 5 boys and 2 girls...oh lord...
