We use calf liver (stinky stuff - but it's .99/lb at the meat market) that I boil with some various garlic, celery, etc....then pat dry, cut into small cubes and my guy pretty much is willing to learn whatever I can honestly teach him (These treats freeze well and defrost fast....and I defrost just enough for what we're working on.....)

We also have good luck with a silly treat I make with pureed pumpkin, cream of wheat and powdered milk......as basic as that sounds - my training buddy LOVES them! Maybe because that's the only time he gets them

Rottnboys...

Great idea... cream of wheat, pureed pumokin & powdered milk. I'll have to try that.

I use to always use the beef liver & garlic...the Rotts loved some of it in their bowls, when they were being so good for the day... EVERYDAY...being good I mean, not liver every day.

Good job. Artie will learn...the little food hound that he is. LOl...

Oh! I forgot to update! We had company this past weekend and will again this coming weekend, so we're going to do lesson 2 the weekend of 10th. But we're continuing practicing lesson 1.

Another Artie update is on the Sense-ation harness thread. It's CRAZY how good that thing works.

Thanks for asking about him, maciesmom!
