Why does everyone here think being a millionaire makes you part of the "Evil Rich"** <-real title.
Everyone here seems to think its 1964 still where 1 million dollars in net worth makes you a jet setting ultra-wealthy person who drives a Cadillac Coupe Deville, owns a coach wallet, gold watch, lives in a 5 bedroom estate on Star Island in Miami and has vacation homes on the SF Peninsula and a New York City Penthouse..

I posted the real topic title. I just submitted too soon by accidentally pressing enter.

I don't think having twenty million makes you part of the evil rich either. There are good rich people and good poor people, evil rich people and evil poor people.

People who talk about evil rich are usually either bleeding envy through their pores or trying to convince themselves that their lack of success/accomplishment is someone else's fault.

Because that's what the press and popular culture tries to ram into our heads.

Further, those of us with some money really do fear what the current politicians are talking about in going after "those people". We fear even if we did believe.........WHICH WE DON'T.......that they are only after the people with the really big bucks.

I would love to be that wealthy like Stuart Whitman. ".....A shrewd investor, he amassed a substantial fortune while continuing his career even after its peak in the mid-Sixties...." ".... Thanks to good financial investing, he had amassed a personal fortune of $100 million as of 1998....." (from IMDB)

Why shouldn't he enjoy his life of wise choices?

If I could still live the "1964 Millionaire" lifestyle I'd probably quit tomorrow. I just couldn't justify work if I could visit exotic Asian countries monthly and go to the opera every day. I'd just hop in my 1964 Coupe Deville and throw rotten tomatoes at hippy protesters if I got bored. Until then I will keep saving aggressively with that dream in my heart.
