I’m not talking about buying with the intent of selling, which wasn’t the original proposition.

Like I said, you wouldn't understand it. But maybe you can understand this - Investopedia doesn't define what capital gain property is versus ordinary income property. Holding period, whether under or over a year, is not the defining characteristic of capital gain property.

You're out of your depth. You ought to stick with something that you actually understand.
