As with so many things in life, the answer is "It Depends."

I can't answer for you, but for me, the answer is "Yes."

And you still won't understand. . . But hey, maybe Investopedia can explain it to you.

I’m not talking about buying with the intent of selling, which wasn’t the original proposition.

It’s take a bottle I own (from the fridge) and selling it in a drought.

Oh, you're now coming off of trying to say it is a vendor selling it? LOL!

That would be capital gain property.

1. I’m not. Read the post

2. Why, if I don’t own it for over a year?

Why would you stay in a country where private property rights are literally codified into law?

Why not Cuba?

Yeah, I've read every post in this thread. You are constantly changing what you've said, but claiming you haven't.

Like I said, you wouldn't understand it. But maybe you can understand this - Investopedia doesn't define what capital gain property is versus ordinary income property. Holding period, whether under or over a year, is not the defining characteristic of capital gain property.

You're out of your depth. You ought to stick with something that you actually understand.

1. Read the post you’re responding to for the love of god.

2. If you wanted to tell me, you could. That tells me enough about you.
