Those 'stupid idiots' are actually firms that keep our economy afloat. As distasteful as it seems, supporting them will support YOU and ME and everyone else with respect to economic soundness. The failure of the passage of this bill, unfortunately, is something that will trickle down to adversely affect EVERYONE, down to the individual.

Has it actually failed yet, or are they still voting? The news reports are confusing.

Well, if it does truely fail I hope the worse case predicted doesn't happen. If it does happen I hope y'all who were yelling that there shouldn't be any intervention can look yourself in the mirror when you're watching your neighbors lives go in the dumpster. I truely hope this was overblown, I really do for the sake of the people who have no cash reserves to fall back on.
I guess we'll see...
As for the morons in Washington, I hope y'all remember this and clean both houses come elections...

1. About 75% of all banks in the US will fail

2. There will be ahuge run on the banks,

3. The FDIC will fail and be bankrupt further causing a run on the remaining banks.

4. In the next 60 days, at least 4 millions people will loose their jobs.

The fallout and trickle down affect from this alone will be catastrophic.

The end of times are upon us people, WAKE UP!
WOW ..so I guees it is a good proposal..and when the dems shoot it down they will blame bush for the fallout..

Either way, we will all be affected somehow. I'm for no artificial patching of the economy. Let it right itself, it will eventually. Either way, I'm sitting financially secure so I'll be okay. I'd just prefer that the economy set itself straight without interference. It's interference that causes problems.

No, Intel stock has taken a beating since 2002, but the company is still around and people still buy computers. And so on and so on. I don't like oil cartels too much but I am buying gas every week. Until people understand the concept of company/stock, the brainwashing will continue and people will continue to believe what they hear from Cramer and the likes.
