3) He's willing to spend money like a pimp with a week to live, just like Bush.

Now, how will somebody who spend more than five minutes in economics class feel good about an Obama presidency? I'm curious.
And yet he will be elected president soon. For the likes of me I can't understand why. You can't raise taxes and capital gains in bad economic times. You will kill the real estate market in the U.S. FDR raised taxes during the depression and it back fired on him. All I can say is that government will be in the hands of the democrats. If they mess up it will be on their shoulders. Some thing tells me we are going relive the Carter years. We will see double digit inflations and high interest rates all over again.

I'm going to be actively trading Tuesday and Wednesday. I'm prepared to take advantage of movements in either direction.

There's still some uncertainty to an election (last I saw, Intrade was at 84/16 Obama/McCain, so better than 5:1, but the uncertainty has lingered a little). The stock market is an odd thing. I think it will react favorably to the removal of the uncertainty.

All sounds good enough -- as long as he does not spend as stupid as Bush.

WHy do people think that the President can do any of these things? It is Congress and the Senate who causes all the trouble, not the pres. I am more concerned about them than the puppet in the White House.

I think a drop is more likely, Obama's tax policies aren't good for businesses. If Obama's elected I think it's highly likely a total collapse will occurr within a year of his election.

I'd just stay away from Coal and maybe get into power companies if he's elected. Especially after his comments of the last few days.
