Yep. I hate it when they let children onto the message boards.

Well since it looks like the Democrats have a majority in the house and senate, then the Democrats will more easily push anything they want. I know they were planning on health care for everyone, but how does it get paid for?

Maybe it was a lot and maybe that's why he/she isn't back on here.

I've made some cash in DXD today. It's been a pretty smooth downward progression, which is nice (low volatility!).

It really doesn't matter what the Dow is doing on any particular day .... even longterm it's only an indirect indicator of the economy.

I think it's way overpriced still given the rotten fundamentals, there's no question that things are going to get much worse for a long time before it bottoms out (it probably will bottom out, unless we get hit by nuclear terrorism).

So much for the relief rally. The market has been climbing on hope and now it's back to reality. The economy is tanking, will tank even more in the months to come and Obama has already conceded that, oops, he failed to mention that he can't really do much about it, at least not during his first term. Now, back to our regularly scheduled programming-- which is less jobs, less consumer spending and less growth... unless, of course, you count the deficit, which is growing like it's mainlining steroids. All compelling arguments for shorting the trend all the way down.

Don't worry, yesterday's election was another cannonball hole in the side of the American economy.

Eat any crow lately? First the market expected an Obama win plus Democrat pickups in the House and Senate. Second, it's insane to believe that Obama is good for business in general.
