What part of the city did you live in??????? I am sure observe and everybody else tell it like they see it, and guess what, you call it bashing.

If you were hanging around the warzone, I don't doubt you found people "whacked out and crazy". If you were hanging out around La Cueva, El Dorado, Academy, etc. then I would have a much harder time believing you.

Just so you know El Borracho that thread title you listed is by a poster named ''Lukeache'' and not only does he hate Albuquerque and ALL of New Mexico as he said the state is the ''Armpit'' of the USA (Cloudcroft, Ruidoso, Angel Fire, Red River, Taos etc) in the Minnesota threads where he lives but he used to come on the El Paso threads 6 or 7 months back and say really bad things about El Paso also until the moderator ''Austin Traveler'' threatened him with being Banned from City Data and the New Mexico moderator LLD has also warned him about ''Flamming and Trolling'' on our threads He hates the whole southwest including Arizona, Dalles and Las Vegas where he said that the ''Whites'' out there arn't white enough...lol....

I guess we ''whites'' here in the southwest are not elitist as in Minnesota according to him. I bet he hates the ''southern rocker whites'' of the south also. Hmm...so i'm a ''white boy'' from the ''PO'' south with a tad of a southern accent that also lives in the southwest....man i bet he relly hates me....lol...So thats where he's trip is coming from. (and i have never insulted the posters on the minnesota threads nor would i)

But you are right about the crime up here as it's really bad.....just too much meth as it's sadly destroying people like never before as it actually alters the Brain's Neurons. They showed pictures of young 20 something beautiful girls before hooked on meth and then showed their after pictures on meth and they looked like my Grandma.

I sure hope for the best for El Paso and New Mexico as these places have been my home since the 1st grade Mesilla Park Elemetary in Las Cruces back in 1970. Memories memories............

Meth and spanish speakers aside, I'd like to see a corner bakery or panera here. Not sit down restaurant type places, but they're nice for everyday eating out on the go. I hate fast food. Downtown or kern would be perfect so I don't have to drive to the boonies.. thanks.

The one is Red is the one I think the poster ( OBSERVE ) was referring too near Downtown.

If your really gonna sit there at your computer Desk and say that places here don't hire Spanish speaking only people.. then I am going to call you a liar. The Wal*Mart on Trans Mt Road, has many of them. I have asked workers there many times for assistance and they don't speak English.. same with the McDonald's on Trans Mt. So don't go saying this guy is full of it, because I have seen it first hand here.
Thats probably the one im talking about, it's not as if it's a huge city, your downtown is just up the freeway from that basset place.
Relax chuco...ease up on the inferiority complex, like I said before it WASN'T a slam just something that happened. You turn it into a big deal, nobody's slaming your great city!
WOW!!!

I saw a TV Show last night.. the kid and lady were sitting in a restaurant and next to them was a moving belt of food. They just reached over and grabbed what they wanted and removed the card. I was wondering what kinda place this was and what its called.. I found it pretty cool.

As for restaurants, I would like to see some more upscale places.. some place that has dinner and a show. Guess working in a Casino has spoiled me to that sorta thing.

I also wish the best for El Paso, and the region.. it is my home after all. =)
