79928 - Google Maps
Give it a year or two, all those trails will be converted into streets...along with the house development in the area.

My husband asked me yesterday what I thought about moving there, so I thought I would look at some houses online first to see what we could get. We currently live in Dallas and hate it and moving out, I have been to El Paso and I loved it, so I am not worried about the same problems as I have in Dallas.
Maybe you hate Dallas because you live in Dallas..i teach in Dallas..but I live in Irving..where it is much quieter, not as much crime, and more laid back. have you considered other communities like Richardson, Coppell, McKinney, Plano..there are so many!

Actually I am from Colorado and prefer it there. I can't stand any part of Dallas/ft worth. I have been to El paso and I liked it there and there is a lot of family for me if I move there.

I'm originally from L.A. I wanted peace and quiet and found it in El Paso. Not to mention, super low cost of living!

You can use zillow.com or trulia.com to get info on housing prices in these ZIP codes.

Yeah, it would depend on the address in a lot of cases. For instance, 79922, with that big average income, includes not just the big houses around El Paso Country Club but the Marwood neighborhood around Zach White Elementary, which I seem to remember is middle-class, and the Pacific Park and Buena Vista neighborhoods around the south end of Doniphan Drive/west end of Paisano Drive, which could hardly be classified as affluent.

True. There are pockets of ghetto in all zip codes and small but well-maintained houses in all zip codes and more expensive houses in all zip codes.

Thats the problem with "average" gross income, a lot of people in 79922 certainly don't make real big incomes. A lot of homes are small and older and a bit run down.

How about being so close to Jaurez? I would think there would be a lot of crime, but I keep reading how safe El Paso is. When I was there I really liked it a lot, but I don't live there so I am not up on what it's really like there.

No, the proximity to Juarez doesn't seem to be a factor. The cartel hits so far were not in the neighborhoods closest to Juarez, you can figure they'll actually take place in the neigborhoods the rich drug lords choose to live in El Paso and gang violence is worse in Anthony, like the recent burned body found stuffed in a trunk of a car, killed by residents of Anthony in an Anthony rest stop.
