This economy is pathetic. Even if things really started turning around there is not enough time for Obama to recover. Unless the Republicans run another John McCain Obama willl loose.
Dream on. There is NO ONE in the GOP camp that can beat Obama in 2012

You said that last year as well. Yet 2010 did not even break the 1 million jobs mark.

And even if the economy is better by 2012, that means the issues will revert to campaign promises, i.e. the fact that Gitmo is still open, we still have 50k troops in Iraq, no promised immigration reform, etc.
It seems the "other side" thinks the only issue is jobs, not taking into consideration there are jobs and then their are true jobs. Most going back to work are doing so at lower levels than in the past and the figures out last week are not totally legit. Most of us (both sides) that have any understanding of the issue realize that.

Yup, Obama is quietly locking up reelection.

Something kinda neat has happened in the past few months... moderates and/or people who don't really care about politics are trusting in Obama's decency and bi-partisan efforts. They can see it and they vote at Presidential elections (not midterms).

Nevermind that Lefties like me are a little underwhelmed by his mainstream and less then daring platforms... and Righties just think he's an evil, non-citizen socialist.

His Character and his Policies have dictated his fate
not even the 'MISGUIDED' liberals like being lied to

America remembers

Obama's promise to put all bills on the White House web site for five days before signing them.

Obama's promise to have the congressional health care negotiations broadcast live on C-SPAN.

Obama's promise to end earmarks.

Obama's promise to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent.

Obama's promise to make peace with direct, no precondition talks with America's most hate-filled enemies during his first year in office, ushering in a new era of global cooperation.

Obama's promise to end the hiring of former lobbyists into high White House jobs.

Obama's promise to end no-compete contracts with the government.

Obama's promise to disclose the names of all attendees at closed White House meetings.

Obama's promise for a new era of bipartisan cooperation in all matters.

AND, With the leadership of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, There would be no ear marks, no closed-door drafting of bills, no increase in deficit spending, no special-interest influence (unions), no vote buying (Nebraska, Louisiana).

Is this the kind of hope and change we need !

yes, his opponent is key, but it most likely will not be Romney and don't be so sure Romney is the only one that could beat him. If we are talking Romney versus Obama, we are talking moderate lib against mod and there would be no excitement what-so-ever in the election. Libs are praying it will be someone like Romney for this reason.

Actually he's done very well on his total campaign promises (either kept or in the works is 70%) - not bad for his first 2 years. Of his Top Promises, he's managed to achieve more than half already. NO President manages to do everything they promise - and THAT'S a FACT but Obama is doing pretty well in that regard so far.

Obama's Reelection Chances: 12 Reasons He's Likely to Lose - The Daily Beast

A very good read and very informative.
IF Obama loses my vote in 2012, it will be because the constitutional professor I elected failed to put the Patriot act in it's rightful place. More than just close Guantanamo, everything that permitted GITMO to operate needs a kick in the pants. No party or elected official has taken that beast threatening to devour the constition off America yet. No party or elected official is worthy of the nation they are serving or the oath they took. Not one congressperson, senator, SCOTUS, or President. Not one of them beyond all labels of gender, creed, ideology, experience... I see them ALL as having failed equally. As the Coastie saying goes, you can help, or you can get the hell out of the way.

Overall I don't see Obama as horrible. Certainly not the ogre Tea party is selling. No, I see him and all chasing pennies while the barn door is open. Salvation from republicans? Don't make me laugh when they're aiding and abetting criminals printing a license to steal.

I see Obama not tending to that constitutional problem with full force intellect as willful neglect. It must be faced. It must be resolved with preservation of the constitution having highest priority than any false sense of security sold the masses. No excuses. My true safety, my life and liberty, depend upon it. I can deal with terrorists from abroad, but not the terrorist who may entrench himself in my government (no matter the party).

If you continue to think in terms of winning popularity contests, we will all continue to lose. Look at it dead in the eye. You're not talking to a delusional tea bagger.
