Donald Trump and especially Bill Gates would be envious of a man who ran a 4th-rate pizza business?

I really need to find that knee-slapping icon.

One thing that worries me about Herman Cain is that he has no political experience, like governing a state.

As entrepreneurial as you may want Cain to appear to be,
that simply is not the case. He was an employee most of
his life. He was hired by Pillsbury to run Burger King, as
well as take over operations at Godfather. And no, Godfather
was not bankrupt when Cain was appointed CEO for the chain, by Pillsbury.
If it had been bankrupt it would have added a lot more to his dossier ( if he was able to turn it around). If all he did was step in and carry on after everyone before him had done all the work, i can see what Harry Belafonte meant about just a few strokes of good luck got him to where he is.

He is the LAST person who should blame people who aren' t rich for not being so when his success was handed to him on a silver platter. He should talk. If that hadn't happened he'd still be managing a few parlors probably evey though he supposedly studied Computer Science at Perdue and got a Masters Degree. THAT even shows how for back the dumbing down goes.

Yeah, I can see it now. Cain sitting down for a summet with Putin, Sarkozy and Ping Pong or whatever his name is in China. Scary thought to contemplate, IMO.

Exactly, he has very limited knowledge and experience in several key areas like foreign affairs. Can you see him in a debate with Obama when that comes up?

I would love to see the two of them debate about foreign affairs.

How much did Obama know before he was president? He was only a senator for a short period of time.

I think Obama would get schooled.

At this point in our history foreign affairs should take a backseat to domestic affairs. IMO.

Besides, presidents don't negotiate with foreign leaders - that's what the secretary of state and their advisers are for.

The president has advisers for all the key points - they hash it out and then the two leaders meet for a photo op.

No president negotiates foreign policy with foreign heads of state.

Herman Cain is no dummy. That man has a lot of education and business experience behind him. Do you think he couldn't take a company from negative to a positive cash flow and not know how to negotiate?

Quote:
Herman Cain (born December 13, 1945) is an American businessman, syndicated columnist, and radio host from Georgia. He is the former chairman and CEO of Godfather's Pizza and a former Chairman (Omaha Branch board 1989-91), deputy chairman (1992–94) and chairman (1995–96) of the board of directors of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

Before his business career he worked as a mathematician in ballistics as a civilian employee of the United States Navy. He graduated from Morehouse College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics. Cain married Gloria Etchison, of Atlanta, soon after her graduation from Morris Brown College in 1968.

Cain, accepted for graduate studies at Purdue, received a Masters in computer science there in 1971, while he also worked full-time in ballistics for the U.S. Department of the Navy. After completing his master's degree from Purdue, Cain left the Department of the Navy and began working for The Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta as a computer systems analyst.

In 1977, he moved to Minneapolis to join Pillsbury, soon becoming director of business analysis in its restaurant and foods group in 1978.
Herman Cain is quite qualified to be president. Oh I forgot, he's not a career politician. But I hardly see that as being a drawback.
