So since most of the people have only general ideas of what Ron Paul's idea of nation defense I will explain the reasons why and or what Ron Paul wants to do.

- First lets us pretend the united states is a house in a neighborhood, and all his neighbors are nations who have houses as well.

So the united states has a large house, and carries a big stick

Currently the united states walks up and down the street with his big stick, and everytime a neighbor fights in the house the united states goes in with a big stick and tries to "fix" what is going on in that house.
Now the people who live in the neighbors house ask the question, why are you here this is our own house and our property. Instead the united states will pick the color of the walls, change the household leader and give little sticks to that leader in order to control what goes on in it.
So many people dont like the new leader of their house dont like the wall color and never asked for it. So why is the united states in this house?

So moving on to the Ron Paul foreign policy lets continue this line of thinking.

The united states removes all its money, little sticks, and comes home. We leave some people to walk the street since nobody owns it just to keep any eye on what others might be doing.. We dont go onto other peoples property, in their house, or cross their property line. We have our big stick and we still talk to our neighbors, we still trade food, and services just as it is now. But our big stick does wander around, build (bases) in our neighbors houses and try and change the neighbors house or the people in it.

Now we will have bad neighbors and if some bad people attack our house and our trading agreements with other neighbors and our property and liberty are in danger we go to war. We get congress to declare war and we win no nation building. We destory that neighbor, that house, and everyone in it with our big stick. While we are minding our own business and attacked we have just cause. If we are busy trying to change what the wall color and internal fighting of other nations I suspect some angry people of other nations will restore to violence in order to have their own country without the United states dictating the policy in their house. We are to defend ourselves only and if other nations (neighbors) who think they have some bad neighbors we suggest they get a big stick to defend themselves ie Isreal who already has a big stick. If israel was upset with it's neighbors because they are throwing rockets and rocks they can resolve those issues on their own. Also nothing wrong with having someone do some spying on our suspect bad neighbors to see what they are up to in order to increase some defenses at our home. Also if you have people sneaking into your house and living rent free from the southern border you secure that border and kick those people out who sneak in to this country.

We stoping trying to run our neighbors houses, we stop giving them money to fix their houses (socialism), and stop giving them little sticks that later get used againsts us and helping dictators of our neighbors continue their rein.

Interesting. Did you mean for the highlighted word to be "doesn't?"

Ron Paul's main problem on this front which is kind of acknowledged here, is AIPAC and the rest of the Israel lobby. They'll do everything to bring him down, and it's hard to overstate their power in Washington.
