How our local paper, the Post & Courier, graded the debate. Local polls has Gingrich ahead, then Romney, and third Paul. Santorum still at the bottom.

Quote:
Gingrich: B+ Seemed very much at home as he often does at debates, even when asked about his ex-wife's accusations that he wanted an open marriage. Called question "despicable." Crowd responded favorably to him.

Santorum: B Pitched himself as a "conviction conservative" who has beaten Democratic incumbents in a swing state. Went after Gingrich strongly. Accused former House Speaker of "playing footsie" with the left on health care.

Paul: B- Often seemed like the odd man out, declining to jab much with the others. Instead emphasized Constitution-centric, America-first message. Scored when he said troops coming home face "epidemic of suicides."

Romney: C+ Tried not to lose more than to win. Awkward moments when asked about tax return. On the defensive about business deals, health care. Was applauded for saying he would not apologize for being successful.

Default Ron Paul Might Just Win South Carolina

As much as I'd like to see that happen, I don't think he'll do any better than 3rd.

I thought Paul won the debate because while the other three spent most of the night either attacking or defending each other, Paul stayed focused on his ideas and delivered them in a more concise, coherent manner this time around. He also made Ricky squirm a few times which is always fun to watch.

Or, if Romney beats Obama, that pretty much ensures a D in 2016.

Ron Paul only won that debate in the eyes of people who already support Ron Paul, which means nothing, since for those individuals, Ron Paul wins every debate.

How many young Ron Paul supporters have a land line, to see where they stand, in these polls?

Have you noticed Paul has done better than polls predict.

Now we are out of a caucus state, you may... or may not see something truly amazing. Only time will tell.
