The Time Mitt Romney Rescued A 14-Year-Old Kidnap Victim

http://www.nytimes.com/2003/07/08/us...e-boaters.html

Yeah, Romney is so cruel and heartless.

I don't believe I've ever seen any stories about Obama rescuing people or dogs.

I am glad you posted this. I thought about this and the story of his efforts to find his employees missing daughter yesterday when all of this fake bullying story was being discussed.

It's sickening what the Democrats will resort to in their desperation. I don't think it's going to work this time though.

I think the Romney story is bs., but don't act like the GOP is above this sort of slime. Rove was/is a maestro.

We'll see swift boats being launched from the right and left before this is over. Sadly.

Agreed. As I said on another thread, this, unfortunately, is the state of our politics these days, and both sides are guilty of it. Anyone who claims it's the M.O. of only one side or the other is either disingenuous or blind. Sad but true.

The difference is that the Dems have the mainstream media and their resources in their corner. Up their butts even.

I agree. BS stories and smear tactics come from both sides - and it's a sad state of affairs. I repped you both. I commend you for being fair to Romney despite being Obama supporters. (Most of the other Obama supporters on the forum will obviously never comment on this thread.)

Very true. I repped Fiddlehead but I can't rep you right now so I figured I'd just tell you. I also think it says a lot about your character that I have to wait to rep you again. It must be character-related considering I certainly wouldn't rep you for any political opinion

I wish more people could just be level-headed, reasonable, and polite in these debates. No to mention, it would be nice if people could truly see past their partisan blinders that are so obvious to the rest of us. I'll admit I've let the more extreme posters get under my skin many times and cause me to react in a similar fashion, but I regret having ever done so since it doesn't further genuine debate.
