Wisconsin is a state that is usually ignored. Ironic to find desperate Pubs trying to embellish his win to have a broader meaning. It has limited and localized significance, whose effect is temporary at best.

Walker's victory however does not erase some harsh Republican realities. You're still the party:

1) which gave us Bush, worst president in history.
2) were OK with Bush lying to go to war.
3) were OK with runaway military spending that caused this country to bleed to death.
4) were OK with the spending because a Republican was in the White House.
5) were OK watching Bush turn a surplus into a deficit.
6) didn't complain about the deficit when Bush was in office.
7) that ignored the health care crisis.
8) that ignored the housing crisis.
9) that ignored the Wall street crisis.
10) that ignored the mortgage crisis.
11) that wasn't effective against illegal immigration.
12) that wasn't effective against street grang crisis.
13) that couldn't get bin Laden.
14) that supports bigotry
15) that knows nothing about effectively running an economy.
16) that clings to "trickle-down" even though it has never worked.
17) that favors the rich only to the detriment of everyone else.
18) that has broken Congress these last 4 years.
19) whose policies fail and hurt the country.
20) that is supported by the most racially-ignorant, most backwards segment of our society.

Walker's win means little in the grand scheme. The state will go for Obama in November. Dems in the state will regroup and come back stronger next time to stamp out the clueless segment of that state that supported this simpleton. Continue to chase your tails, Pubs.

It's okay to be sad about wasting $35 million, and still be the BIGGEST LOSER, that could have been spent to buy votes for Obama. Obama was surely sour grapes about it.

Yep...all that money could have gone to the presidential campaign where it will be desperately needed by obama and down ticket democrats. Let's all thank the Left and unions for flushing it down the toilet.

Because they realize, especially after the obama campaign told them, that WI is now a toss-up and if obama loses WI, he's done.

The humiliating defeat for the dems/Left/unions in WI is just the beginning..hopefully.

Well, they were sure the Class Warfareâ„¢ was working. They were sure they were getting the message out about if you're not Unionizedâ„¢ and paying your stipend to the democratic party that you'll be dead tomorrow from malnutrition and while you're dying you'll have to watch your kids get raped by some big angry white supremacist.

More bad news from WI;

What the president will be able to do depends in large part on how much of his winning coalition he can reassemble later this year. It's not looking good, especially among the younger voters who were such an important part of Obama's 2008 victory.

If Obama is having trouble attracting younger voters to his coalition, as the results from Wisconsin suggest may be the case, then it will be just that much harder for him to go on to victory in the presidential race.
Of course, if the young were actually thinking straight, they realize they are worse off since obama came into office.

President Barack Obama explained in a radio interview Monday why he didn't do more to help Wisconsin Democrats in their battle to recall Republican Governor Scott Walker: He was too busy.
"The truth of the matter is that, as president of the United States, I've got a lot of responsibilities," he told WBAY of Green Bay, Wisconsin. WBAY was one of eight TV stations given an exclusive interview with the president — six from battleground states Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Virginia and Wisconsin and two from California and South Carolina.

Wait...here's the biggest laugher of all. Howard "The Scream" Dean thinks the dems won big in WI.

Dean: "We Look At Wisconsin As A Win" | RealClearPolitics

Quote:
"First of all. We look at Wisconsin as a win. We, which was not reported in the mainstream media -- we picked up a Senate seat which denies Scott Walker an majority in the Senate," former DNC chairman Howard Dean said at the Netroots Nation conference.

I wonder if he knows the legislature meets NEXT YEAR, after the Nov election, which will likely see the GOP take back that seat and possibly more because of redistricting?

You mentioned nothing about the $22 million Walker alone raised, and the $37 million that was brought in to the campaign from others who supported him.

That's a lot of money that could have gone to Romney and all the Repub down-ticket candidates who are in desperate need of it.

$35 million on one side, $59 million on the other. It is mutual craziness on both sides. All that money is evidence of how hard fought this was, Money is better than bullets, though- 160 years ago, Kansas went through a similarly hard fought political dispute, but it was fought with weapons, not cash, and a century later, the anger on either side still remains, while the dust of history has completely buried the reasons for the dispute.

Maybe we have learned a little since then?
