What do you do, make things up as you go along?

The stimulus was in effect by June 2009 and job losses were lowering.

Obama's statement, the one the GOP is hammering on, is essentially correct. Private sector job growth is pretty much on par but the real loss is in the public sector -- losing about 1.4 million fireman, cops and teachers. Those people are every bit as part of the economy as private sector workers.

Wrong...again.

Stimulus money started going out in late June of 2009. The recession of 2007 ENDED in JUNE of 2009.

Another great ad by the Romney campaign;

Jolt - YouTube

He's really hammering obama on this, as well he should.

So how did "Wisconsin spent $1.5 billion in federal stimulus money in the first four months after the law was passed," according to the Wall Street Journal?

Romney ads are for people like you. For me, it is your argument. So here it goes...

Stimulus was to address job growth, not to end the recession... for the same reason republicans passed a stimulus in 2001 (EGTRRA) and again in 2003 (JGTRRA) whereas the recession was over in Nov 2001. Although, we wouldn't see job growth in the private sector for nearly two years after that recession was over.

Well, part time fast food has been hiring. I guess he is counting that, along with all the jobs illegals take.

To illustrate what E.G. is saying, namely, that employment is a lagging indicator, note the below graph. The gray bars are recessions. Unemployment declining always lags the end of a recession -- and in the case between 1990 - 2005, unemployment rose long after the recessions were over.

At least they are hiring, and you're complaining about that? Prefer unemployment instead... the good old times that was a disaster to any sane person... an unprecedented loss of 6.5 million jobs in just 12-month period?

Real Americans are an interesting bunch.

If there were a moment in time where Oboy sealed the deal on being the dumbest and most useless waste of space ever to reside in the white house, this 'private sector' comment is that moment.

And lookie! Even though President Stupid walked back his moronic remark, we still have folks here defending what he said.

Gotta love it!

Why must "conservatives" only parrot around, much less with such sheer stupidity? Are y'all simply obligated to do so? Or, must I assume, it is only habitual and comes with the orientation as a person?
