If Romney loses either Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio or Virginia, he is done. He has to win too many toss up states to even have a fighting chance.

Ohio, I agree. The others - no. He can lose those three and still win.

No kidding, wxjay. I could also see why someone would say Romney needs VA, but MI and WI?!?!?!?!?! No Republican has won WI in a presidential election since 1984 and no Republican has won MI since 1988. Bush Sr. won in 1988 just fine without WI and Bush Jr. won in 2000 and 2004 just fine without either MI or WI.

DC's Finest, all Romney needs to win is FL + NC + OH + VA plus one other battleground state. It could be CO, IA, WI, MI, NH, NV, PA, or a "surprise" state like OR. If Romney loses VA, he has more of an uphill battle, but he could still win if he were to win - just to throw some possibilities out there - CO + IA + NV or CO + IA/NV + NH or CO + WI.

MI and WI are really states that Obama needs, but not states that Romney needs. They are to Obama what, say, IN and MO are to Romney.

In most of these polls and in the average of the polls in both states, Obama is not at 50%. That's not exactly good news for him. More importantly, his approval rating in both states is below 50% in many of the polls and likely when the approval ratings from all the polls where whether respondents approve of his job performance is asked are averaged together. Remember, Obama needs MI and WI. Romney does not.

The debates will win it for Obama.

I think that is laughable. But you keep telling yourself that.

What is he going to say in the debates that will "win it" for him? He has nothing other than to trash his opponent or talk about what he would do if re-elected without being able to explain why he didn't do it before.

Obama might win but, if he does, it certainly won't be because of the debates. Obama really needs the economy to improve significantly over the next few months if he wants to win or he needs third party candidates to get large percentages of the vote - and to take almost all their votes from people who would otherwise vote for Romney. If the 69,000 jobs a month thing continues, it's going to be very hard for Obama to win.

obama has shown himself to be an idiot much like his supporters. He won't win any debates and he's going to lose in a landslide of epic proportions.

In the interest of consistancy and fairness........people are not idiots just because they have different beliefs than you do.
