The republican base has shown a big swell of support for neocon chickenhawks in the past decade. Romney's their boy!

and that is the way it should be. No, the party elites do not choose our candidate, anymore than the Democrat party elites choose yours, but the voters decide by voting in the primaries and I believe in supporting what the majority has chosen. I would make an exception only if I really felt there was a truely better candidate, but this would be rare.

Then you're voting for obama. Smart move.

And you'd be right about that if it weren't for Desert Storm, Afghanistan, and Iraq.

Actually, it's not at all although that seems to be a common thought with some of the internet crowd. The differences are pretty significant but you can believe what you want.

Massive enthusiasm? Hahahahaha...at most maybe resigned acceptance. I was a delegate at the Colorado Convention (which RON PAUL won by the way....look for that in the MSM) and most of the Romney people looked bored to death. Even the Santorum supporters were more enthusiastic and he'd already dropped out.

Both will equally take positions I disagree with. That will always happen but we are speaking about major things. Neither will do what is needed for the economy. Neither will address illegal immigration. Neither will bring our soldiers home.

But we were told by lefties during the primaries that the GOP was self imploding. I guess those were lies..
