After obama, the nation will happily take someone who the left finds "boring". As to "socially awkward, I suspect he's far less socially awkward as most of the high post count lefties here.

Romney is boring. It is a close contest between he and Al GOre on who is the most wooden.
The American electorate over-corrects for its last mistake. So after the crookedest president in recent history, Nixon, we went for the squeaky-clean Carter. After Mr. Charismatic Hope N Change with the clouds parting and the light shining down and "transformational" talk, etc., we'll aim for boring but competent.
Don't be mad because you voted for obama and got egg all over your face believing his lies.....
