Romney's problem is that such accusations are entirely plausible. Many rich pigs like him pay little if anything in taxes. The Reps can pretend that's not a problem but it is. Many of Romney's cronies have been pulling this nonsense for a few decades. They want a functional American society but they don't want to pay to support it. And they want the rest of us -- the truly overtaxed and overworked -- to tell them this is okay.
It isn't.

They make money by bribing government officials and raiding pension funds so the rest of us have to work longer and harder. Then they attempt to convince us that the real problem with our society is the mailman earns more than ten bucks an hour.
And then the idiots fall for it because they're afraid of gay marriage and women who have abortions.
As for people who move overseas (or pretend to) so they don't have to pay taxes the list is mile long.

Bull crap. They accused Romney of being a felon, and then lied by saying he doesnt pay taxes, even though he paid a 14% tax rate which is far higher than most americans pay (which is zero)
I am sorry, can you point out which 10 years Reid's source was referring to? I don't recall it being said to include the only year released, a partial one at that.
If you read the link you'll discover that hardworking Poloraid workers had their pension fund raided and ended up with $47 bucks each after pensions that were supposed to be worth 100 -- 200k. Meanwhile House Republican Rick Lazio walked away with over $500k for a short stint on their board. How is that not immoral and utterly disgusting?

And yet this is still in the news and still haunting Romney, funny how the Cons in here think this is such a non-issue, yet won't admit that it is an issue for this story not to go away....maybe if Mittens released his tax returns further back that the one where he decided to run for office and cleaned them up and paid all his taxes, maybe this story would go away...but this denial is just a sign of a man who has something to hide and is afraid to lose an election over his past...yet continues to brag about his past records, but doesn't want anyone to fact check him on them, sounds like another dirty Republi-pig to me.

Because it is completely credible that Reid is a pederast. Whereas it's not at all credible that a really rich person might have paid or no taxes. Oh that Obama is not only a Kenyan but an actual space alien! That's far more credible than the notion that a man who has selfishly dedicated his life to nothing but making money might have been involved in shady tax deals!
