"The identity of the attendee was not immediately known, and it was not clear whether the person was a delegate or just someone with a ticket to the convention center."

or a Democrat staged event.

same link as the OP.

Mia Love spoke for like 4 minutes. She is a mayor of a town of 18,000 thousand people. That does not translate to broad support in the Republican party.

To win the Saratoga mayoral election she received a whopping 861 votes.

Dude, you are always typing the opposite of the truth. Your an agent of deception and confusion. Herman Cain was leading before the controversies came out. Allen West, Tim Scott, Nicki Haley, Todd Cruz, Bobby Jindal, Artur Davis, Mia Love; all minorities, and all Tea Prty supported and sponsored candidates. And most are from the South. If you want to continue to support the Democrat Party that tells you that simply because you are black, you are incapable of overcoming hardships and that the government must take care of you, that is your right. But stop with the racist garbage, it's lazy and makes you come across as biter and petty.

Uh............ she's a congressional candidate and was a speaker for the National Republican Convention. How is that not "broad support"?

Like I've stated previously, there are going to be cretins at any convention. I've worked (and ran) security for numerous conventions and there is always at least one incident. The larger the convention, the higher the number. I'll be at a convention this weekend in Atlanta and expect that there will be at least one bad apple that I'll interact with.

To blame the convention for the actions of an attendee is pretty bad form.

Had the staff/security laughed about it and did nothing, my reaction would be much different. However, they removed the individual, revoking further access, which is the proper response.
Do you seriously believe an event as important as a live nominating convention would be open to the general public?---known party operatives, yes, but others? I sure can't find any proof of that just anyone could go. Can you? If it were open to the general public, then don't you think there would be lots of on camera heckling and outbreaks of boos from the peanut gallery during the speeches instead of this one isolated incident of peanut throwing? Think of the security nightmare that would cause. Just for the safety of the entire top tier of the party, simply logic would suggest they wouldn't take that kind of chance by letting unknown people in the doors.
