Eastwood got thrown under the bus. No Republican will come to his defense.

The reason it's not in the RNC video is because it was a disaster. If you thought it was funny, that's great, but the purpose of the last night of the convention isn't to entertain the people there--every second should highlight your nominee, and help the public to know more about him and like him more. Hating Obama isn't enough--you have to be able to make the case that your guy can do better. Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair didn't do jack to build the case that Romney would be a good president. That's the problem, and that's why it's not in the video.

I wonder if they edited Christie's speach down to the part where he actually spoke about Romney?

You're right, and actually that seems to be kind of the Romney m.o. these days, even when the controversy has involved his wife.

Christie was giving his acceptance speech for 2016.

Not quite.

Connie Rice is no longer in politics, so why put her in the video and not Clint?

Clint was once mayor of Carmel, CA.

They were hoping for a Charlton Heston type "from my cold, dead hands" moment. Didn't happen. Not even close.

You just have to shake your head--is this how they'd run the country? They couldn't even accomplish the one simple goal they had to pull off that night--highlight Mitt. It was complete incompetence, and now they're falling all over trying to back stab each other and shift the blame...
