In early 2007 The Economist had a story about the baby boomers and their rate of retirement in 2011. Now I remember that article because I moved my 401K to safer investments. (I was very lucky). So now a large part of the unemployment rate is the number of people who have stopped looking for work.
Because of the Pres. last year when the Bush tax cuts were extended, you are now able to take withdrawls from your 401K with no penalty. You need to be 55 and up.
So I have seen a lot of people take their retirement early. These people are not takers as they are using there own money and if they are lucky a pension.
Large Corps. will not be able to maintain profit if they do not start hiring people to replace their retirees.
This is why Mr steal your pension and load you with debt Romney knows that he must win now and will say anything to knock down public feeling.
