The people that you would keep from voting vastly outnumber the people who vote fraudulently.
The people who would be kept from voting are the ones who are voting fraudulently - that is the entire point - to prevent non-citizens, and people using iD's of dead people from voting.
You know things become really clear when you embrace common sense and quit parroting the inane liberal mantra that you have been brainwashed by the left wing media to believe.
On the other hand, evidence has been submitted in court, along with witnesses brought in, that PROVED photo ID requirments kept them from voting.
Could you cite the source? I'm curious as to what the actual circumstances were - because the only way I could see someone not being able to vote when they showed a photo ID is if the picture was not of the person who presented the ID.
Another good question - were these people ciizens who were eligible to vote?
Mostly elderly people don't. Why would you need an ID if you take public transportation and look old enough to get booze without one? Since Teabagger stupidity prevents them from ever reading the Constitution, I'll have to post the 24th Amendment once again:
Section 1. The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
Section 2. The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
The Libs make a big daeal about someone not having an ID and therefor it should not be required in order to vote. I am sorry but everyone I know who is of legal age has either an ID or a drivers liscense so what is the big deal?
Oh really? I had to take both my parents to the doctor (82 and 91) and they both had Medicare cards and driver's licenses (even though one hadn't driven for years) and when I took them to the doctor they were asked for their Medicare card and picture ID. So you are wrong.
No one is denying any eligible citizen the right to vote. They just need to prove they are eligible to vote. It's not hard to get an ID. I have been having to show my ID at the polls at least since 1986.

States give out voter IDs for free - and voter turnout has increased in those states. It's just horrible.

Wow - that is great that you know what the 24th Amendment says.
Now would you mind telling me just what in the name of Andy Papajohn it has to do with the quality of air traffic control in the Washington D.C. area?
The Constitution also says we all have the right to bear arms, yet we are now required to show ID (and get a background check) when purchasing firearms.
Do you support removing all background checks and ID when buying guns?
(story not yet over......)
I guess you have never heard of the gun show loophole. In my state, I can go to a gun show and walk out with as many guns as I have the cash to buy with no ID or background check required.
