I thought the drunk driving charges might have done George W Bush in but it didn't.
It's so hilarious now that just a few short years later, we have a president who admits to snorting cocaine and basically staying high for several years of his life and no one blinked an eye over that, but Bush having a DUI 25 or 30 years before he ran was such a big deal. The huge double standard never ceases to amaze me. I will guarantee that there is nothing with any credibility to 'surprise' anyone about Mitt Romney and especially nothing that the scumbag Gloria Allred would be involved with. She is what gives attorney's a bad name.

Honestly, I think some of it with the drugs and drinking is that the baby boomers are in power now, and you'd be hard pressed to find many in that generation (mine) who didn't do at least some experimenting during their teen and college years--we grew up in the 60s and 70s. I think the big scandal with Bush wasn't as much the DUI as that he's a recovered alcoholic, although the DUI was still a big deal. You're right that it's a double standard in one sense though--if you drank or did drugs and didn't get caught, it's attributed to youthful hijinks. If you got into trouble for it, it becomes a much bigger problem.
rumors about him cheating on ann while at bain while she was going through ms.
similar to newt cheating on his wife while she had cancer.
Don't know if this would sink him but I actually think this is more believable than some of the other nonsense floating around. Illnesses can cause tremendous strains on a relationship isn't this the point when Edwards started stepping out on his wife, while she was getting treated for cancer?
I'd assume though Romney would have legally silenced the woman long ago with a lot of money. Of course this would have been detected in his tax returns... Oh God I'm thinking like a libbie, better stop, lol.
