Mitt Romney cannot win. President Obama is going to finish with approximately 330 votes.
Romney is losing in just about every swing state, and he has no chance of winning Ohio.

So what are you guys trying to pull here?

Is this some strange way for you to convince each other to get out the vote by pretending this is close?
It's not close. You closed the gap a little bit when enough people believed that Romney won the first debate.
Even if we pretend that he did win the first debate, VP Biden and President Obama swept the rest of the debate season.

By November 1st we're going to be talking about President Obama opening up a 15 to 20 point lead nationally, and that's when the national polls DO matter, because you won't be winning any swing states other than MAYBE Florida and North Carolina. At that point you might as well just go fishing on November 6th.
Don't be silly. Everyone who posts to the P&OC forum regularly is a voter.

Say, if the election is a foregone conclusion for Obama, why are you wasting your time on the "Elections" board?

Tell your supervisor at Obama for America that your "talents" would be better spent stuffing envelopes at campaign HQ. You're not persuasive here.
What the left misses, or refuses to acknowledge, is that the polls have been oversampling Democrats, because they think that the turnout statistics are going to match 2008. They completely ignore what happened in 2010.

As of this date, the polls that matter, are showing that Romney is ahead, and early voting is also favoring Romney. Among independents, there is no contest; Romney wins handily.

Romney is going to take Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan and Iowa. He already has Florida sewn up, and Virginia. I believe it's going to be a landslide for Romney.

But, what will happen is that since so many polls that Democrats are touting show Obama ahead, the Democrats will claim "voter fraud" and file lawsuits. They won't believe the actual vote talley, because they think Obama is ahead. Watch for it.

It's November 1st now, and I don't see Obama being up 15 to 20 points either nationally or in the electoral college.

Looney Tunes. ^^^^ You know the polls are going against mittens when the rwnj's pull out the over sampling dems nonsense. FYI, in 2010 ppl loved the teabaggers, 2012 they learned their lesson. It isn't 2010 anymore, dude.

They haven't been oversampling democrats. Most of these polls randomly call registered or likely voters and ask them 1. Who they are voting for and 2. Party affiliation, AND THAT IS HOW PEOPLE ANSWER. Consistently a higher proportion of people are answering democrat because more people who used to be republican are calling themselves independents.

Every election cycle otherwise intelligent people get sucked into the "what the poll numbers REALLY mean" game. I know it is tempting because I used to play it. LOL. But don't do it to yourself. The people who do these polls have formulas that will make your head explode and they know what the hell they are doing. Just look at all the best polls in aggregate and follow what they are telling you. Don't try to dive behind the numbers, it will mislead you every time. My opinion of course, you will do whatever you want.

Yeah. It never pays to be too over confident or to disregard the numbers.
