Well, I'll take my chances. I'm not about to hold my nose and vote for a Republican just to keep Hillary out. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil.

This seems to come up in every race. The last time, it was the Democrats doing everything they could to shut down Ralph Nader in as many states as possible, so as not to split the Dem vote.

We have to get away from this two-party mentality in this country. If someone comes along who appeals to you, then vote your principles, even if that person doesn't belong to one of the two major parties. If enough people started doing that, there wouldn't be all this talk about splitting the vote ... because everyone, even those outside the major parties, would be getting significant chunks of support.

It would be so easy to break the two-party stranglehold, if only fewer people were worried about voting for one stinker to keep another stinker out of office.
