It's looking like a Republican won't win the seat, either. The Senate is no longer looking like a sure thing for the GOP.

If Roberts's loses the seat (which at this point it looks like he will), it makes the Republicans path to taking over the Senate for difficult.

No, because the Democrat dropped out of the race. It's now between Roberts, the incumbent Republican, and Orman, who is running as an Independent.
