With the flip of a Facebook switch, Mr. Bush, the former governor of Florida, disclosed the formation of a full-time political apparatus that can begin raising money with an eye toward 2016 and laid out a campaign rationale that was striking for its emphasis on big, knotty, bipartisan concepts like immigration overhaul and
“We will not cede an inch of territory — no issues, no demographic groups, no voters,” he wrote in a statement on the website of his new organization, called Right to Rise. To emphasize the point, and showcase his social media savvy, Mr. Bush appeared on a cellphone video Tuesday speaking both English and Spanish.
"As Mr. Bush announced Right to Rise, a group tied to Senator Rand Paul, Republican of Kentucky, bought ads on Google that would direct anyone searching for information about Mr. Bush to a web page about Mr. Paul."
I remained convinced that Jeb Bush will face very tough sledding in the GOP primaries. He's in a similar niche to Romney in 2012, and remember how tough it was for Romney. There was one after another 'not Romney' who bested Romney in polling, but each of them self-destructed. Romney won it in the end, but mainly because the rest of the field was so weak.
I don't think the field will be weak in 2016, depending on who decides to run. If it's just Carson, Paul, Santorum, Huckabee, and Bush, that will be a weak field, and Bush could win. If the field grows to include several such as Rubio, Cruz, Jindal, Walker, Martinez, Kasich, and Perry, all of whom have pretty good resumes, and can appeal to the conservative base, then I think Jeb Bush will be toast.
Rising up like another Bush carbuncle on the buttocks of humanity...or my lunch begins to rise up on hearing the Bush name......no thanks!
Amen, brothah! I find the name of the PAC to be sort of a throwing down of the gauntlet to dissenters. "Wah, wah, I've got a RIGHT to rise to the Presidency, so there!" What an arrogant SOB.

^ Unfortunately "Hillary" is likely gonna be our Democratic 'analogue' to the Jebster, along with every bit as much "entitlement". To further compound it, there's a sense that a lot of liberal Boomer women (and even a few conservative ones) see her as some sort of "symbol" for their 'last hurrah', irrespective of her politics. Which means the 'internecine' fighting could get kinda 'interesting' if another credible Dem challenger emerges to run against her!

Love it!!!! Because with Bush, IMO, that equals an understanding that all groups concerns are both listened to and responded to.
