America would be no different under President Romney today than it is under President Obama. In fact we might be worse off because we might have already invaded Iran. You can find the difference between Romney and Obama under a microscope perhaps but on all the big issues they are essentially the same.
The ayatollahs in Iran might have been better behaved under a President Romney.
Their behavior is certainly influenced by what others do. If they thought that Romney wouldn't put up with some of their antics, they might well have stopped, alleviating the current crisis.
He, like Cruz, and even Sarah Palin (if she ever gets back into politics) are best left in the Senate. That's where their talents most likely lie. Cruz will go down just another Huckabee, Rand will go the way of his dad (much of what they say is way, way over most people's heads, and they are a little screwy; not to mention, the media will utterly kill him - even though he's more likely then others to be able to deal with that), and that Sarah Palin girl? well she's the perfect antidote to screwballs like Nancy Pelosi, et al.(you fight fire with fire).
I'm waiting for Walker (or even Rick Snyder, more likely 2020 for him). I want to hear what they have to say.
So far, not too impressed.

Gary Johnson, yea these independent's don't get enough votes because the sheeple are easily swayed, and they cannot raise the money required to get in the race.

What about with Ron Paul as President, I honestly think we would be the same anyway because the president only signs, vetos and bully pulpits bills, nominates cabinet members and judges and signs executive orders. We would still have the same congress to deal with when they don't compromise.
Well Ron Paul could use his Executive Order powers to undue some of the damage that has been done via Executive Order. He could have also vetoed and killed some bad bills. He also wouldn't be agitating for constant warfare. Of course America wouldn't be completely fixed but at least the leader at the top would be working towards the cure.

Perhaps, but I still don't think it would be that different. If bills can't get to his desk, how could he veto them? How would he handle the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan and rise of ISIS/ISLS (aka the rebels we wanted to help in Syria)?

FYI, Gary Johnson is a former libertarian-leaning Republican governor of New Mexico who just decided to run Libertarian after being excluded from Republican debates after running for the 2012 Republican nomination and withdrawing from that race. Yeah, that is really independent considering Rand Paul is running as a libertarian under the Republican banner.

The establishment GOP who makes the rules, was changing rules and denying the results, as they went from state to state. The primaries and caucuses didn't nominate a person to lead the party. That person was chosen long before the primaries and caucuses started.

Can't he be both a paleoconservative and libertarian conservative? His views are fairy consistent with both trains of thought (except abortion rights.)
