I wish that he wasn't associated with the Democratic Party, but I could almost vote for Jim Webb. I own his novel Fields of Fire. Anyone who can write a book that good can't be all that bad.

I own it as well. I wish him luck. Anything to 1. Hurt Clinton's chances and now she is getting it from the left and right and 2. Running independent will hopefully shine light on the 2 party duopoly more.

Jim Webb Pulls from Republicans more than Democrats. Notice how you dont see any Democrats flocking to support him.

Exactly right. If he ran as an independent he'd pull a lot of Republicans who can't bring themselves to vote for big mouth idiot Trump, Evangelical Cruz or Mr. "I'm too good to do my job as a Senator," Marco "Amnesty" Rubio. Webb is somewhat sane, so he has that appeal for Republicans who don't have a sane, viable candidate polling in the double digits at the moment.

But I know of not a single Democrat who likes Webb. The one percent support he garnered from his own party should tell you something.

As for the OP, keeping a site active doesn't really mean much.

Jim Webb should do well against Bush in '88.

Oh wait, it's 2015. Democratic voters looked at him and said, "pass". No one cares if he runs as an independent.

I am working with the Webb campaign as a volunteer at the moment. We are only in the pre-stages of getting started.

There is a lot of dissatisfaction between Trump and HRC. Most Americans think of themselves as independent and we want to attract the American voter more than the ideological Republican or Democrat.

Don't quit your day job. I have a feeling this is going to be a very short campaign. The only people who seem to want a Webb candidacy are Republicans, and not because they intend on voting for him, but because they think him being in the race will hurt Clinton. Where will any actual support come from? The one percent of Democrats who supported him?
