Finally, a person who can really mind read.

You got it exactly right. Deserves two thumbs up.

I understand why the Millennials love Bernie.

They grew up in a deep recession. They likely saw their parents struggle financially. They are graduating from college with huge loans that will take a lifetime to repay. The Millennials are landing low paying, low skilled jobs. As a result, they don't see a way of ever affording a home and living the American Dream.

They are a very gloom-and-doom generation and Bernie the socialist is going to fix all that.

I agree but socialism is not going to fix the problem it will just make things worse sooner or later.

I am four years older than your son. So it is not like I am another generation.

I like Bernie, don't get me wrong. I like him a lot. I think he is a very honest politician who is passionate about what he believes and he truly cares.

However, Climate change as not the world’s greatest threat to national security and the entire education system needs to completely reformed. Making college tuition free won’t stop the colleges from being places where young minds get poisoned with liberal lies.

I have a lot of clear thinking liberal friends, so this post is not an attack to the liberals. But let's be honest about it. His strong statements on curbing gun violence and letting go of Clinton’s email scandal also resonated with the assembled audience.

Never said it did. But if your choices are between perpetuating a system that favors the top then some might be willing to look at other options. This is what's happening in our elections with Trump and Sanders getting looks by many. The rest are basically promising the status quo follow the money trail supporting each candidate and their super PACs it's very eye opening

Agreed about big money controlling this country. An important component to this is illegal immigration. Businesses want to hire illegals over American citizens, and, in addition to considering the policies set forth in your comments below, you have to look at what policies will increase the very things people are tired of, which you indicate below. As much as I understand the draw to Sanders, he will advocate open borders, which will harm more US citizens. The ones harmed the most by these policies are blacks and vets.

I too am not sold on anyone for president this year. I know who I am not voting for, but still have no idea what I'm going to do other than I will vote for the person who will implement policies that put American citizens ahead of illegal immigrants and refugees.

I originally thought he was an honest guy even though I do not believe in his views but the more I dug the more I learned that he is just like the rest of the candidates. He is simply a front and the people behind him are no good.

While I often wonder about your viewpoint regarding the economy etc., I totally agree with you that your son getting interested in the political happenings is a very good thing. Whether it is supporting Bernie or someone running for mayor, it is a good thing.

For those who are dissing the sons support of Bernie, have you always supported the same philosophy for your entire life? I doubt it. People learn, grow and form new viewpoints. I would rather have a 26 year old being for something than a 26 year old be for nothing.

I agree with you. There are many aspects of Bernie's program that I totally disagree with. However, they can be better tuned to make them work. I'm definitely not for v spending more money. But much less money can be spent and yet still do much better than what we have now, particularly when it comes to our completely broken medical and higher education systems which are both characterized with increasing costs and diminishing quality.

But with that said, give me an honest President over a dishonest one any day of the week.
