This guy is part of Trumps' team but Trump is surrounded by SS

Article says nothing about dropped charges. We'll have to wait for the official statement to find out why they are not moving forward with this case.

Trump took the high road, and stood with his campaign manager. I give him a lot of credit for doing so. He withstood the sh*tstorm and pressure to can the guy until the case was officially investigated. That says a lot about Trump. And how the other candidates responded to this case says a lot about THEM.

Give it up. Move it along. Nothing to see here.

Yes it does. Anyone objectively looking at what happened already knew it.

And I have to hand it to Trump for sticking with his manager rather than succumb to what amounted to nothing more than a political hit job. A career politician would have run in in the other direction.

that still has yet to be seen. nothing has been proven ( and our justice system works on the belief of innocent until proven guilty ). it will be interesting to hear exactly why the prosecution is declining to prosecute.

plus fields still has the option of filing civil charges against lewandowski on the matter.

nope, there still has been no official statement from the secret service. that claim came from an an "anonymous" source thru the daily mail and has yet to be supported.

there has never been any official statement from the secret service claiming that they warned fields. that claim came from an "anonymous" source thru the daily mail and has yet to be supported.

that may change today with the announcement from the state attorney ( and i hope that there is an official statement from the SS ) but i think it's unlikely.

did lewandowski intentionally grab her and yank her back. yes.

was it without consent from fields. yes

those two points meet the requirement for the misdemeanor of "simple battery" ( and the investigating detective agreed ). it will be interesting to hear the state attorney's decision ( assuming that the report is true that he is declining to proceed ).

just saw the press conference from the state attorney ( which included new video ). the state attorney concluded that lewandowski definitely grabbed fields ( in contradiction to his claim that he never touched her ) but that he was reacting to a "potential threat" after fields touched trumps arm.

that's it for the criminal aspect of the story, will have to wait and see if fields pursues a civil case.

The press posted this story of Trump's campaign manager's "assault" on every major publican's front page for days. But Palm beach County prosecutors said Thursday that the case is dead in the water because of video evidence that Fields invaded the Secret Service 'bubble' around Trump and touched the candidate first

Now that the charges are dropped, will the press apologize or at least cover the dropping of charges?

Apology because he was charged? It's not the presses' fault that he acted like a barbarian and was charged. It was up to the DA to determine if he had a case and it appears it isn't worth his effort.

As for covering that the charges were dropped. Haven't you been paying attention? It has been in the news.

"....the decision [not to charge Trump's campaign manager Lewandowski] was in large part based on the fact that [the reporter] Fields had first made physical contact with Trump as he walked out of a ballroom at his Jupiter country club.

That's when Lewandowski reached in and pulled her away, the video shows.

'We're not charging him because he was reacting to what he perceived as a potential threat to someone that he is in charge of protecting, so to speak,' [Ellis] explained.

'He just kinda reacted and did what he needed to do.'

Fields, the video shows, left the area where reporters were told to remain and made her way into the protective 'bubble' around Trump that consisted of Secret Service agents and campaign staff.

Ellis described 'her trying to grab to Mr. Trump in some respect ... from an area that she was not supposed to be in.'"

The campaign manager did the right thing to protect Trump, according to State Attorney Dave Aronberg's chief assistant Adrienne Ellis.
