Yeah, it worked out well for LBJ.

I can't imagine Trump asking or Cruz accepting, but they could surprise me, I guess. I think it much more likely Trump promising to nominate Cruz for the open Supreme Court seat if there's a contested convention to appease Cruz supporters, and others, hoping to garner enough support to win the nomination.

It's never going to happen. Trump doesn't need Cruz's delegates nor the accompanying grease stains.

Cruz would make a stellar SC Justice. He would never get approved by the democrats.

Trump/Cruz
Trump/Kasich
Cruz/Kasich
Cruz/Fiorina
Not a Kasich fan but I like your idea.

But lets make the VP pick REALLY productive for conservatives...

We can cause half of Progressives in America to commit suicide if Trump would pick Dick Cheney as his VP.

A lot can be said for (and against) Hillary, but she's not a socialist. Bernie is closer to one, but he's a democratic socialist, which is not the same as a socialist.

This crazy year notwithstanding, Hillary is far right of many recent Republican candidates. Her weakness is not that she's a Socialist, rather that she's more of the same that is already in politics.

IMO, if it's Trump vs Hillary, the choice is one of known evil vs. unknown, and potentially disasterous evil. (There's a thread on this exact subject). If Trump is on the ticket, I will vote for whoever runs against him. I think that he is (by magnitudes) the most dangerous, unAmerican candidate running.

Well scripted/talkers who take huge amounts of money from big $, serve them instead of the people they are suppose to represent, have tackled no serious problems that have been going on in our country for decades like almost a 20 trillion dollar debt, SSN/Medicare in a scary underfunded place, jobs disappearing, etc. that these same type of bought off slick talking clowns never fix is the "lesser evil", more american way, eh?

Insanity, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

IQ test for voters, please, as of yesterday.

Don't think it'll be very easy for Cruz to remain in the Senate. He will be humiliated on a daily basis, every Mon thru Thur will be get Cruz day, he is hated that much.

Plus he'll have to go to the hospital every month or so to get the ice picks removed from his back.
