I think you're right....

It's just that it kind of came out of the blue that they're asking for donations now--they haven't sent me an email for the months that they've had my info, but they do have it and that explains the message

If someone wants to donate to Bernie, it seems they need to go directly to his page

I think there is a limited amount of time that they can expect people to be interested in down ticket races, esp. in the abstract where it's not about drumming up support for a specific candidate.

I haven't donated via actblue for a long time but I get the emails every day, it seems! And yes, they are all from "Julia, somebody, somebody and the rest of the team"

And trust me, I also get them "from" Chelsea Clinton but it always has her full name on it and it's clearly soliciting money directly for her mother's campaign. Not that any of these come from real people, they just alternate whose name to see who gets the most click throughs.

One of my kids signed up to vote in Colorado as an unaffiliated voter (I think that's what they call it). We believe that's how ActBlue got our information.
